Staff are celebrated at the first Woodland
Grove care home Staff Awards Ceremony

Our Woodland Grove care home in Loughton, Essex celebrated the hard work and dedication of the staff at their first Staff Awards Ceremony.

Staff and residents were joined at the home by Oakland Care Chief Executive, Harnoop
Atkar, as well as Operations Director, Daren Dalmedo and Human Resources Manager, Jo Rychlik.

Awards were handed out for Most Supportive Colleague, Best Idea/Initiative and Gone the Extra Mile/Above and Beyond. Residents and staff voted for the winners and raffle tickets were sold to raise funds for the event.

Lifestyles Manager and winner of the Gone the Extra Mile/Above and Beyond award, Eirlys Roff said: “It was a really lovely occasion celebrating all of our hard-working
team. I was honoured to have been voted for this award by our residents and feel really
appreciated. Thank you.”

Speaking about the awards, Home Manager, Hazel McGwyne said: “We wanted to acknowledge and celebrate our great staff and their achievements at Woodland Grove over the past year. Although it is clear all our staff are stars and they all deserve an award, we have a few ‘shining stars’ who deserve to be recognised for their exceptional work over the last year.”
