“I would like to thank the staff at Elsyng House in Enfield, who looked after my Mum until her death in January 2022. They all did their very best for her and looked after Mum very well. The accommodation is second to none and they have many facilities available including a hairdresser that made Mum feel great. I’ll never forget the Christmas dinner in the home that I was allowed to attend, Mums’ last. The staff were very friendly and had no problem talking to you or listening! Thank you to the whole team there.”

David G (Son of Resident)

“I though the meal was very nice. I particularly liked the salmon Quiche served recently.”

Christine Wilson

“My Mum came to Elsyng House for respite care in December 2021 following a period of poor health. From the very first contact with the Client Relations Manager to Mum’s ongoing everyday care, I can say, without any exception, has been warm, friendly, professional with a real emphasis on putting the individual resident and their family at the centre of everything they do. Mum is enjoying the everyday life of the home with regular visits to the bistro coffee shop, a wide range of activities for residents to engage in. I recommend Elsyng, without hesitation, for the care of a loved one.”

Mandy H (Daughter of Resident)

“An elderly friend who I have known for over 50 years recently moved into Elsyng House at short notice for respite care. All the staff that I have met, without exception, have been professional, friendly, caring, and helpful. It is a big life change to move, but they have gone out of their way to help her settle and to feel safe and comfortable there. The home and facilities they offer are first class – I cannot think of any improvements they could make. I would not hesitate to recommend Elsyng House to anyone looking for a loved one’s care.”

Sarah S (Friend of Resident)

“My dad became extremely poorly, where myself, my brother and my sister were called to his bedside. Over the past few weeks, the staff have worked tirelessly to bring dad back to nearly full health. They cared for Dad like he was a member of their own family. On behalf of my Dad and family, I would like to thank the staff for the support and care that they provided the whole family with.”

Laura M (Daughter of Resident)

“My mum has dementia and has been staying at Elsyng House for a short period of time. The care and support she receives are superb. The staff are so friendly and helpful, both to residents and visitors alike. The bedrooms are very clean, and the facilities throughout are great. Mum is so happy, safe and well-cared for. I highly recommend this care home.”

Mark M (Son of Resident)

“We have experienced the highest standard of care from our mum’s carers. They have been kind, attentive, positive and have constantly provided a high quality of care to her. I cannot point to any deficiencies (apart from the limitations brought about by Covid measures which we fully support). We know our mother is safe and well cared for.”

Dev M (Son of Resident)

“My mother was the first in this new purpose-built home. She has a lovely ensuite room. She settled in very quickly and went from sitting at home with very little stimulation to having a new lease of life. There is a lovely garden, a cinema room, with a large screen, and louder volume, which she loves. She is also eating much better and enjoys the food very much. Our mother is a new person and is now enjoying life, where previously, she had almost given up.”

Clare S (Daughter of Resident)

“I am absolutely delighted that my mother’s new home is at Elsyng House: it is an outstanding care home. I have been so impressed at the care, kindness, compassion and professionalism shown by all the staff that I’ve had contact with, coupled with the superb surroundings, facilities and activities. The staff have gone to so much trouble to help my mother settle in: their care for her is superb. Every aspect of Elsyng has made me feel so grateful that my mother is at such a wonderful care home.”

Elizabeth O (Daughter of Resident)

“My dad came to Elsyng House after being in hospital for a few weeks. The care and support he has received has been fantastic. He has made amazing progress, when he first arrived, he didn’t feel well enough to eat or get out of bed, and now in just a few weeks he has put on weight and able to move around using his Zimmer frame. He would have never contemplated residential care a few months ago due to his fear of losing his independence and the negative image he had of care homes. He now says it is the best decision he has made and should have done it earlier.”

Samantha P (Daughter of Resident)

“Our Mum (and Nan) has dementia and came to a time when she required increased care that we couldn’t effectively give her at home. It was with heavy hearts and nervousness that we looked at local residential care homes. We chose Elsyng House (Enfield) and are so pleased we did – from initial contact through to her placement/moving in, the sympathetic and compassionate service we received has been brilliant. We can visit and phone her easily and cannot praise all the staff high enough that we have come into contact with. A big thank you to Elsyng House.”

Michael B (Son of Resident)

“Work of art in presentation. Good amount of feta Cheese and olives in my meal.”

Rene (Resident)

“I didn’t always feel up to joining the daily activity programme but enjoyed those that I went to and the conversations the activities prompted afterwards.”

Resident

“There are frequent planned activities for residents and personal events, such as birthdays are celebrated enthusiastically. Visitors are always made extremely welcome.”

Daughter of resident

“The residents appear to be happy and there is a wide range of activities to keep them occupied and amused.”

Son of resident

“Always Enjoyable.”

Val Jones

“I enjoyed my lunch today. I particularly liked the ice-cream and Raspberry Coulis”
