Meet the Hastings Team
-
Kaye Giles
General Manager
My first job in the care sector started 30 years ago and despite exploring other career choices, I have always returned to doing what I love the most. I have been at Hastings Court since 2015 and I’m proud to be a member of the Management team in such a fabulous home. I am passionate about our residents receiving the best possible care during their time with us and our team go above and beyond to ensure this happens. Seeing our residents doing the things they love is such a treat, from days out fishing, trips to the theatre or just a walk around the Old Town browsing through the antique shops, it’s sometimes the little things that count the most. -
Sam Westlake
Deputy Manager
I started at Hastings Court in 2015. I previously worked in a small charity run home for adults with learning disabilities for 8 years. I started as a part-time care assistant whilst at college to study for my level 5 in Health and Social Care. I have progressed from Care assistant to team leader then community lead and I am now deputy manager at Hastings Court. I love my job at Hastings Court. I enjoy the daily interaction I have with residents and staff. I feel proud to be able to support the team in helping them achieve their goals and create the best environment for our residents to live in. In my spare time, I play netball and love watching my son play football. -
Siobhan Gurney
Client Relations Manager
I joined Hastings Court in 2018 and have progressed to my post as Client Relations Manager from Business Administrator. I thoroughly enjoy my role especially meeting new residents and their loved ones and arranging admissions into our beautiful home. I assist in managing the home and its various departments, to ensure our residents benefit from a holistic approach to social and mental care at Hastings Court. I feel passionate and privileged to be able to help potential residents choose to live at Hastings Court and supporting residents and families through this next step in their journey. -
Graham Yarwood
Head Chef
With forty years of culinary experience behind him, Graham now brings his extensive skills learnt while working in exclusive restaurants around the world into our kitchen at Hastings Court Care Home. Graham explained how his passion for food and delighting others brings him the greatest satisfaction. His tireless work ethic and relentless pursuit of perfection a shining example to all staff at Hastings Court. When not in the Kitchen, Graham can be found on our various community floors discussing with residents their likes and dislikes, their favourite dishes now and from their early lives. Nothing is too much for Graham, despite having to prepare hundreds of dishes a day, Graham will always find time to prepare an off-menu bespoke dish should a resident require it.
