All inclusive living
No need to worry about unexpected bills. The fee you pay at Oakland Care is all-inclusive, covering:
- The costs of your 24-hour personal care
- Your accommodation in a fully furnished en-suite room
- Utilities such as heat and light, as well as Council Tax
- Food (breakfast, lunch and dinner), snacks and drinks, including wine and house alcohol at mealtimes and events
- Telephone line rental and UK calls
- Housekeeping and laundry undertaken on the premises (excluding dry cleaning)
- Television licence, for personal use
- Wi-Fi connection
- All in-house entertainment and activities and local outings
- Use of the home’s recreational facilities
- A personalised physiotherapy assessment that also considers pre-existing conditions
- Chiropody (once every 8-12 weeks)

Meet the Swanley Team
General ManagerI have worked in the Social Care sector for the past six years, having previously been a Captain in the British Army. I love working in Social Care as you can make a difference to our residents’ lives on a daily basis. I’m passionate about working as part of a team who ensure that residents are at the centre of everything we do. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife and three young sons. I like to run, play rugby, read and fix things with my three little helpers!
Senior Client Relations ManagerI am delighted to have joined the Oakland Care family as Senior Client Relations Manager for Birchwood Heights and Maplewood Court. My experience in the role goes back 11 years now, including the commissioning of a new care home. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than assisting families to explore full time care options, whilst sharing insights during what is often a stressful time for them. Outside of work, my biggest passion has always been travel, which hopefully will become easier again in the fullness of time!
Client Relationship AssistantAfter working in retail for six and a half years to ensure I was around to raise my two girls, it was time to change and start a new career for myself. I moved to the care sector, and in the few short weeks I have been here, I realise maybe I should have moved a lot sooner, as this, apart from having my girls, is probably the most rewarding thing I've done. Ensuring the residents have a smile on their faces makes my day. When I joined Oakland Care, I was instantly welcomed to the family, and I love coming to work every day. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and going on holidays.
Lifestyles ManagerAfter years of raising children, helping to grow family businesses, working on the school’s PTAs, and being a Foster Carer, it was time for a change in my life. I have always wanted to work in the care sector and I feel very fortunate to be the Lifestyles Manager at Birchwood Heights. I love putting together a varied, weekly activity programme for our residents to enjoy. This is by far the most rewarding job I have ever had; I love encouraging our residents to try new things and to socialise with each other. I also feel very blessed to be working alongside a fantastic, kind, caring team.
Unit ManagerI have worked in the care sector for 15 years. During this time, I have met many residents, all with different needs. I’m very passionate about what I do, and I love making a difference and will always go that extra mile. Since joining the team at Birchwood Heights, this has been a wonderful experience, and I love coming to work. Everyone is so supportive, like one big happy family. During my time out of work, I love spending time with my family and friends making new memories and exploring new ideas.
Unit ManagerI have worked in Health & Social Care for the past 7 years working my way up from a Health Care Assistant to Unit Manager, after spending time as a full-time mum to 3 boys. I very much enjoy my job, making a difference to people and making them feel safe and valued in their home. I love working with my team and others, sharing knowledge and skills to provide high-standard person-centred care to our Residents, and ensuring their Health and Well-being is our priority. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and enjoy social time with friends.
