Oakland Care Donates £1,000 to Mary’s Meals
Lambwood Heights officially presents cheque to Mary’s Meals
Theresa Mcewan, a representative from Mary’s Meals was presented with a cheque of £1,000 by our Lambwood Heights Home Manager, Sonia Kasese and our residents from Lambwood Heights Care Home.
Mary’s Meals was nominated to receive the donation by HM-Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, Jennifer Tolhurst, after Ms. Tolhurst officially opened our Lambwood Heights Care Home in February of this year.
Mary’s Meals works with local communities to set up school feeding programmes in places where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education. It costs just £13.90 to feed a child for a whole school year. Mary’s Meals has over 100,000 volunteers working in 18 countries with local producers to provide meals for local communities.
