Celebrating Comic Relief Day at
Oakland Care Homes
Comic Relief Day was celebrated across our Oakland Care Homes. The day was marked by various activities that were organised by team members and residents of the homes to raise funds for this noble cause. From cake sales to charity pub quiz, there were a variety of events that kept everyone engaged and entertained.
At Osbern Manor, the staff dressed up in red and team member, Rhianna made a red cake for the day. It was nice to see everyone joining in!
Maplewood Court was in full swing with the staff continuous exercise bike, cake sale, raffle, and sustainable homemade red noses made by the lovely residents.
Hyllden Heights also organised a charity pub quiz with nibbles, tipples, and a bake sale. Everyone who donated was thanked.
Hastings Court, known for its involvement in charitable organisations, held a mufti day for staff and a raffle for a big red hamper which was drawn in the afternoon. The big winner was Karen Neill!
Elsyng House also joined the celebrations with singer Edmund Jeffery and some Red Nose Day baking.
Beechwood Grove continued the celebrations with Chef Dan making an amazing Comic Relief cake that the residents enjoyed a slice of. Melanie Wells made some rather spectacular Red Nose Day cupcakes and team members showed off their red noses. Even the chickens at the home got involved! Beechwood Grove raised a whopping £111.46 for Comic Relief.
Team members and residents at our Oakland Care Homes extended their gratitude to everyone who helped. The fun-filled day was a huge success and they hope everyone enjoyed their cakes as much as they did. Such initiatives not only raise funds for a good cause but also bring people together in a spirit of unity and joy.
