Oakland Care provides a regular calendar of events and activities to keep our residents’ minds and bodies active, organised by our dedicated Lifestyles Team.

From arts and crafts to life drawing, gardening club to cinema, cake decorating to knitting, community singing to dance classes, games and many more, there’s something for everyone! 

We also have one-off events such as concerts, themed evenings, and community events. The possibilities are endless, and the choice of activity is limited only by your imagination. So, come and join us for some fun and engaging activities!

Out and About

We believe that maintaining good health and having fun are equally important. Hence, we offer everything from trips to the theatre and shopping expeditions to visits to national landmarks and historic sites.

The best part for our residents is choosing which events and activities they want to participate in. With so much on offer, there’s something for everyone!

Fit and Active

At our Care Homes, we believe everyone has different abilities, so we offer various exercise and wellness activities to suit everyone’s needs. Our residents enjoy chair-based exercises to more advanced fun workouts like Drum Beat!

Our Memory Care residents also have a dedicated programme designed for them, ensuring everyone stays active and healthy. 

Pet Therapy

Many of our residents love pet therapy, and that’s why we have a variety of animal visits for our residents, from bunnies and dogs to birds, lambs and even Alpacas’!

 It’s lovely to see how interacting with these friendly animals has positively impacted our resident’s well-being. Having pets around helps prevent feelings of isolation and loneliness. It’s true what they say – pets equal happiness!

Enjoying our Spaces 

As well as the regular activities and events, our care homes have plenty of spaces where our residents enjoy time with friends and family. 

Our restaurants and bistros are perfect for spending quality time together to dine or grab a coffee and a delicious slice of cake made by our excellent catering team. Our residents also exclusively use our private dining rooms for celebrations with friends and loved ones! 

Residents enjoy cosy chats by the fireplace, playing board games with friends, and unwinding with a good book or newspaper in our comfortable lounge areas. And for those in the mood for a movie, our dedicated Lifestyles Team arranges regular screenings in our cinema. It’s all part of our commitment to providing our residents with a vibrant and engaging community.

Our residents can also enjoy our beautifully kept landscaped courtyard gardens and terraces. The fresh air and beautiful surroundings are sure to rejuvenate you! A great place to enjoy the sun and to chat with friends or visitors.
