Oakland Care Supports Its Team Members With The Real Living Wage
We’re Supporting Our Team Members With The Real Living Wage
We are delighted to announce that from January 1st 2023, we are voluntarily raising our hourly care home team members’ pay at the Real Living Wage of at least £10.90 per hour. This means our team members will receive an increase 3 months earlier than originally planned to support them with the ever-increasing cost of living.
The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid by over 11,000 UK businesses that believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs – like the weekly shop or a surprise trip to the dentist.
Joanne Balmer, BEM, CEO at Oakland Care said: “We hope the early introduction of these pay increases will help ease some of the pressures that many of our employees are experiencing with the ever-increasing cost of living”.
We truly value each and every one of our team members and appreciate everything they do for our residents. Therefore, we are committed to doing everything we can to support them in these difficult times.”
As the cost of living rises this winter, we want to show our dedication to our team members who do an incredible job taking care of our residents. Our team members work exceptionally hard taking care of our residents; now, we want to show that we are supporting and taking care of them the Oakland Care family way.
