National Care Open Day 2021
Oakland Celebration of Care
On Monday 28th June, many of our Oakland Care Homes will be opening their doors and welcoming people from the community to join in with our National Care Home Open Day celebrations.
These free events will give our residents living at our care homes the opportunity to meet their neighbours, while offering anyone interested in visiting a home, the chance to find out more and meet our caring and compassionate team.
National Care Home Open Day was launched eight years ago and run-in association with Care England, National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and The National Care Forum (NCF) and is celebrated by lots of care homes across the country.
Here are some of the events happening at our care homes:
- Beechwood Grove in Eastbourne, will be running a tennis themed party, with Wimbledon TV coverage on the patio along with Pimm’s, strawberries and fresh cream
- Hastings Court in Hastings, will be hosting a fun Hawaiian Luau party with lots of good food, tropical cocktails and a special Elvis Presley entertainer
- Lambwood Height in Chigwell, will be hosting a Hawaiian themed garden BBQ with delicious good food and Pina coladas and mocktails
Our team members will be available to speak with anyone, who would like to find out more about our care homes and so whilst being a community event, the open day is also the perfect opportunity to learn more about our homes and the care services we provide.
Pop along to our “Oakland Celebration of Care” and find out what’s going on at our Oakland Care Homes!
