Oakland Care’s Spotlight Of The Month – Luke Martin

Oakland Care is a great place to work!

My name is Luke Martin and I am the Associate People and OD Business Partner, working in the People’s Team.

I joined Oakland Care in April 2019, initially as an HR Advisor. I studied for my Level 7 CIPD Certificate and once completed and the company grew, my role transitioned to Associate People & OD Business Partner.

I work as part of the People Team, which covers all elements of HR, from recruiting to employee management, with a focus on employee satisfaction and well-being.

Oakland Care is a great place to work! Everyone is valued and team members will go the extra mile to help and support each other daily.

I am motivated by our residents and the work that team members do within the homes. It gives me a boost to make a difference too, and I love being in the homes with the residents and team members.

One of my greatest achievements at Oakland Care was achieving my Level 7 CIPD. Thanks to Oakland Care,  they supported me throughout my course. My colleagues helped as well by proofreading my essays and I also had study days to ensure I achieved the qualification.
