Red Nose Day is an annual event that brings together fun and philanthropy to combat child poverty. Since its inception by Comic Relief, a UK-based charity, in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a cornerstone of charitable giving and community spirit. This year, we are excited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Comic Relief during the 2025 broadcast.

At our Oakland Care Homes, our commitment to supporting this fantastic initiative is stronger than ever. Our Beechwood Grove team members went above and beyond, donning vibrant red attire to demonstrate their support for Comic Relief. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and generosity as everyone came together to contribute to this worthy cause.

Elsyng House also joined in the festivities, hosting a wonderful Red Nose Day celebration filled with fun and incredible music. Residents were treated to a special performance by the talented Leanne Hollington, whose energy captivated everyone present. The residents had an amazing time singing along, dancing, and sharing smiles. Thank you goes out to Leanne for her remarkable performance and to everyone for their participation.

At Hyllden Heights, creativity took centre stage during a wacky hair and wig day. Our residents and team members embraced the fun, all while fundraising through a Wear It Red initiative and a spirited Red Nose Day team quiz. Thank you to all those who donated and participated, helping to make the day a great success.

Lastly, our Woodland Grove community wished Comic Relief a happy 40th anniversary. It was a day filled with camaraderie, laughter, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of children in need.

At Oakland Care, we are proud to take part in such a meaningful event and to contribute to raising awareness about child poverty. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making Comic Relief Day 2025 special!
