Oakland Care Assistant Practitioner Programme
Congratulations to our team members!
We would like to wish our team members a huge congratulations for completing the Oakland Care’s Assistant Practitioner Programme on 17th June 2022.
The Oakland Care course has been developed in response to the increasing need to upskill our current and future care teams so they can provide an exceptional care experience for our residents.
It is designed to provide development opportunities for our care teams to support the Nursing Teams locally and demonstrates the company’s commitment to supporting the professional and personal aspirations of our care team members.
Running across a 3-month period and covering seven units ranging from record-keeping, risk assessment, advanced diabetes awareness, dysphagia, national early warning signs, basic life support, catheter care, PEG management, stoma care, wound care and end-of-life pathway with syringe driver management.
Team members were presented with their accredited certificates by Joanne Balmer, CEO and Malcolm Hague, Director of Operations.
Thank you to Pauline Cichy (Director of Care and Governance) for developing the programme in collaboration with the learning and development team. The programme was delivered by Susan Lawlor (Training Manager) and Carrie Stone (Clinical Training Partner) and the Clinical skills were supported by Guardian Angels.
