Lambwood Heights shortlisted for prestigious National Award
Lambwood Heights named 2021 Luxury Care Home of the Year Finalist in knight Frank Awards
We are delighted to announce that Lambwood Heights Care Home is in the running to be crowned ‘Luxury Care Home of the Year’ in the prestigious Knight Frank Awards.
The care home and healthcare property specialists’ annual awards recognise excellence in both care and facilities.
Lambwood Heights made it as a finalist because of its elegant Art Deco style and its all-inclusive services. The home was also recognised for its response to COVID-19 which has seen the home remain coronavirus free since the start of the pandemic.
Lambwood Heights Home Manager Sonia Kasese said, “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for this award. We opened in January 2020 and have worked hard to make Lambwood Heights ‘home’ for our residents.
“The coronavirus outbreak has presented challenges but we introduced a range of measures very early on to keep both residents and staff safe.”
Zoom-based family forums allowed relatives to put questions directly to the Senior Leadership Team of Oakland Care, and families were kept in touch with their loved ones via video calls.
Sonia continued, “We were one of the first homes in the UK to reinstate safe visiting in early June by bringing a bespoke summer house into the garden.”
“This has been hugely beneficial for the well-being of our residents who’ve been delighted to be able to see and talk to those closest to them, in a safe and comfortable space.”
Knight Frank will be announcing the winners towards the end of October.
