Lambwood Heights Creating Memories at Care Home Open Week
Creating Memories at Lambwood Heights
Lambwood Heights held their Care Home Open day on Wednesday 29th June. It was a fun-packed afternoon with lots of activities for guests, loved ones and residents.
The Lifestyles team arranged a Care Home Open Day, including PRIDE, a stage production, a quintessential Afternoon Tea, entrainment by Opera singer Yuri Sabatini and held a fond farewell to Home Manager, Sonia Kasese.
The Care Home Open Day started with a stage production by the Rah Rah Theatre Company, held in the Linnet Dining Room. The performers performed a wonderful, funny and interactive production – guests and residents immensely enjoyed themselves!
In 2001, Jude Spooner and Gemma Beagley set up the Rah Rah Theatre Company with the aim to take theatre into the community, specialising in physical theatre, and audience interaction using drama therapy techniques.
Later on, residents, guests and families joined the Lifestyles and Hospitality teams in the garden for a delicious afternoon tea created by the talented Chef, Kamila and was treated to a beautiful performance by Italian Tenor, Yuri Sabatini.
The home was also keen to raise money for charity, to celebrate PRIDE and so the dedicated teams and lovely residents were invited to wear brightly coloured clothing representing the colours of the rainbow.
Lambwood Heights personally thanked everyone who visited their home and took the opportunity to enjoy and participate in a wonderful day of creating memories.
