Oakland Care Kickstart Scheme
Young people set to benefit from newly created jobs in our Oakland Care Homes
Oakland Care is delighted to be taking part in the Government’s Kickstart Scheme where we will be offering 28 roles across all areas of our business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young people aged 18 – 24 years old who are currently unemployed to gain experience over a six-month placement working in adult social care, with access to range of training and skills development that will be invaluable in becoming work ready.
As part of the scheme, participants will be offered CV writing support, interview coaching and training to further develop their digital and communication skills in partnership with REED, the UK’s leading employment agency.
Candidates will also be able to enjoy the comprehensive Oakland Care training that will be on offer on an ongoing basis which will prepare them for a career in the social care sector.
Oakland Care Director of People and Organisational Development, Mo Quadri said, “The Kickstart Scheme is a unique opportunity for Oakland Care to introduce people who may never have considered a career in care to the social care sector.
“The sector is growing which means we need to broaden the areas that we would traditionally have recruited from. A career at Oakland Care is a rewarding one that gives an opportunity to work in a forward thinking, values-based organisation. Everyone at Oakland Care from the Chief Executive Officer downwards lives and breathes our mission “to provide exceptional homes for people to live love and be loved where everyone is part of our family.”
