Housekeeper Spotlight: Tasha Woodger, Hospitality Manager at Maplewood Court

Tasha has 14 years of experience in the cleaning industry. Before joining Oakland Care, she worked as a Head Housekeeper at Premier Inn, where she began her career as a housekeeper. Her dedication and hard work led her to become Head Housekeeper, culminating in her current role as Hospitality Manager at Oakland Care.

Tasha chose to become a housekeeper out of her passion for cleaning and the satisfaction of seeing the tangible results of her efforts. She has always had a keen interest in the care sector, as she is a naturally kind and caring person. After waiting for the right opportunity, she feels fortunate to have joined a place where she can continue her journey in housekeeping while making a positive impact in residential care.

Tasha was drawn to Oakland Care because she resonates deeply with the organisation’s values. For her, being part of a compassionate and caring team that feels like one big family is incredibly important.

Tasha’s most cherished memories are raising her two children, who are her world. The joy of raising them is something she values immensely. Additionally, she recently celebrated a personal achievement by climbing Snowdon with colleagues, a testament to her adventurous spirit.

Outside of work, Tasha enjoys spending quality time with her family and has a passion for singing.

Tasha has some fun preferences that make her unique. If she were an animal, she would choose to be a snow leopard, her favourite animal. Her favourite colour is pink, and when it comes to treats, she loves Bourbon Cream biscuits. She firmly believes in the deliciousness of pineapple on pizza and enjoys watching “Dirty Dancing,” her favourite film. These little insights shed light on Tasha’s personality and add to her warm character!

In the next three years, Tasha aims to continue her journey at Maplewood Court, gaining more experience and potentially exploring opportunities for progression within the company.
