Hastings Court Care Home will host ‘Beside the Seaside’ party for Care Home Open Day 2019

In celebration of National Care Home Open Day on Friday 28th June 2019, the residents and staff at Hastings Court care home will be hosting a ‘Beside the Seaside’ afternoon at Hastings Court from 2.00pm – 5.00pm. All are welcome!

Hastings Court’s very own Happy Harmonies residents’ choir will be performing summer-themed favourites such as ‘I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside’ and ‘Summer Holiday’.

Care Home Open Day is now in its 7^th year. Care Home Open Day encourages care homes to open their doors to celebrate a different theme each year, with a few key values at its heart: friendship, making connections and celebrating older and vulnerable people.

Programme of events:

2.00pm – Knobbly knees competition, judged by The Mayor of Hastings, Nigel Sinden
2.30pm – Happy Harmonies performance, our very own residents’ choir
3.00pm – Punch and Judy Show
4.00pm – Live music for our End of the Pier show

• Ritchie Lee sings sounds of the summer.
• Art display – a chance to see the artwork from our seaside project.
• Try your luck at fun and games such as hook a duck and the coconut shy.
• Have your your palm read by our fortune teller.
• Refreshments provided.
