Elsyng House Garden Tea Party

Residents enjoy Elsyngland Garden Tea Party as they raise money for the CWC

Alice in Elsyngland

Elsyng House Care Home residents proudly supported The Care Workers’ Charity and hosted their very own ‘Cuppa for Care’ event. Residents enjoyed the Mad Hatters themed tea party where the home’s garden was transformed into ‘Elsyngland’.

Residents came together and enjoyed various drinks with marshmallow mushrooms. Head of Hospitality, Daisy Slavkova, said “Residents had such a lovely time sampling the playful drinks, all while raising money for a good cause. This was our first event in the garden since the home opening so everyone was super excited”.

Everyone loved the Alice themed menus and it was fun seeing residents choose their drinks, the flamingo latte was definitely a crowd favourite!”

One of the residents, Ruth, said “I felt like I was in a fairy-tale!” Residents Sheila, Vernon and Brian also echoed those sentiments as they had fun wearing the Mad hatter’s hat.

The Care Workers Charity

The Care Workers’ Charity help support people working in social care that do an amazing job caring for the most vulnerable people in society.

The money raised through this event and all events within Oakland Care homes will make a significant difference to the care workers who are in need of financial aid.

Help us raise money by donating to our JustGiving page here.
