Easter Festivities at Oakland Care Homes

At Oakland Care Homes, the arrival of the Easter Bunny has spread joy across our Care Homes! Residents at Birchwood Heights lit up with smiles as the Easter Bunny delivered a delightful assortment of colourful Easter eggs. It was a wonderful surprise that set the tone for a festive day filled with happiness and creativity.

The residents dove into Easter’s spirit by crafting their beautiful decorations using colourful cards and various art materials. As part of the celebrations, they also made delicious chocolate rice crispy cakes, which paired perfectly with the delightful treats prepared by the amazing Catering Team for Good Friday Afternoon Tea. Moments like these embody our motto: “Live, love, and be loved!”

Over at Elsyng House,  residents Shirley and May experienced a beautiful outing to the Capel Manor Gardens Easter Egg-Stravaganza. Surrounded by the beauty of spring blooms and fresh air, the day was filled with exciting activities and a wonderful performance by John Sessions. To add to the fun, the Easter Bunny paid a visit, bringing a bounty of chocolate treats for everyone to enjoy.

The Easter festivities started with joyful activities earlier this month at Elmbrook Court. From hatching ducklings to a lively colouring competition, our residents took part in choosing winners! A special shout-out goes to Colin, who drew the winning ticket for the Easter hamper raffle, which helped raise a fantastic £250 for Parkinson’s.me, a charity that holds a special place in our hearts.

Hastings Court had a memorable Easter filled with fun surprises, including an Easter Egg Delivery from mini bunnies and a calm game of Easter Bingo, where resident Maureen won a delicious Easter egg. This year, we also saw a surprise visit from POTUS, making it a day to cherish.

At Hyllden Heights, residents showcased their creativity in the “Protect the Egg Challenge,” where they ingeniously designed ways to protect their eggs from being dropped. They were also treated to delicious Easter eggs left behind by the Easter Bunny, bringing another layer of excitement to our celebrations.

Lambwood Heights showed their community spirit by inviting the wonderful congregation from St. Winifred’s Church to share Easter songs and prayers with the residents. Our Client Relations team had the honour of judging an Easter Bonnet Parade showcasing some outstanding entries.

Maplewood had a delightful surprise when the Easter Bunny visited with Easter eggs, spreading laughter and joy throughout the home. Moments like these remind us of our vibrant community spirit, especially during festive times like Easter.

The Easter weekend at Osbern Manor was filled with excitement! Their much-anticipated Easter Bonnet Parade allowed residents to showcase their creative talents. On Sunday, a trolley filled with Easter eggs made its way around, allowing residents to pick their favourites. The day concluded with hot drinks, hot cross buns, and a raffle, ensuring laughter and camaraderie lingered.
