Chef Spotlight Series: Head Chef Jamie Stanton at Osbern Manor Care Home

Meet Jamie Stanton, the talented Head Chef at our Osbern Manor Care Home. Jamie’s journey into the culinary world began at the age of 14 when he started working in a busy café.

His determination and passion for cooking led him to work in various restaurants and hotels, catering for weddings and even cooking for footballers and TV personalities.

Jamie’s love for cooking stems from his family, with both his mother and uncle being successful chefs who toured with iconic music legends. Inspired by their success, Jamie pursued a career in cheffing, driven not just by the financial rewards, but by his genuine passion for bringing joy to people through his food.

After joining Oakland Care, Jamie found a nurturing environment that allowed him to flourish. His decision to join the company has proven to be the best career move of his life, and he is grateful for the opportunities and guidance provided by the company.

Outside of work, Jamie is a dedicated Tottenham fan and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His most significant achievement is his daughter Lyla, who brings him immense pride every day. Jaimes said, she makes me proud every day with any little thing she does.  She is my world and nothing will ever top her coming into our lives. Reflecting on his playful side, Jamie humorously shares that if he were an animal, he’d be a dog, enjoying the pampered life they lead.

When it comes to his favourites, Jamie’s top colour is Lillywhite, and he has a soft spot for Lotus biscuits; they just taste boujee, and I’m here for it, said Jamie. However, he firmly stands with the Italians in rejecting pineapple on pizza. His favorite film is “Goodfellas.”

Looking ahead, Jamie aims to continue honing his culinary skills and inspiring those around him to reach their full potential.
