Oakland Care Homes celebrate Easter with fun eggtastic events
Residents enjoy a fun-packed Easter weekend
Our residents at our care homes had an eggtastic time celebrating Easter. The teams hosted fantastic fun Easter egg hunts, special visits from the Easter bunny and various activities throughout the Easter weekend.
Residents at our Beechwood Grove care home had a special visit from the Easter bunny – our very own General Manager Dean Haffenden. He went around the home and surprised everyone with Easter eggs. Residents also enjoyed a sunny afternoon easter egg hunt and finished up with a family-themed party!
Our Lambwood Heights care home residents enjoyed their very own Easter services with a mid-week one and then an Easter procession on Good Friday. Thank you to Reverend Paula Preston and some of her parishioners from St Winifred’s and All Saints Church for leading the services. The team at Lambwood Heights are very grateful to Paula for allowing their residents to celebrate Easter the way they wanted to, outside the home.
Our Hastings Court care home residents had a rocking Easter bank holiday weekend, with a special concert in their beautiful landscaped gardens, sun shining and chilled listening to their entertainer – that’s what afternoons are all about! Followed by a fun Easter egg hunt with loved ones and a special church visit on Sunday and bumping into a large white Easter bunny!
Our Woodland Grove care home started its Easter preparations early, where residents decorated their Easter bonnets, created arts and crafts and made a large chocolate nest. Over the weekend residents enjoyed an Easter parade full of surprises, music and other enjoyable activities.
Our Elsyng House residents and team members enjoyed a weekend of Easter fun which was full of surprises! We are always encouraging residents to get involved with planning activities, so they can feel a part of what is going on. It was great to see the residents enjoying each other’s company together.
