Elsyng House Care Home Manager will Brave the Shave for Macmillan Cancer Support
Our Elsyng House Care Home Manager Nicolas Kee Mew has pledged to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support by joining this year’s Brave the Shave.
The charity emotionally, physically and financially supports people going through treatment for cancer, and is made up of people who have survived cancer, or whose lives have been affected by the disease.
So far, over £22 million has been raised by people shaving their heads and beards to raise money for this worthwhile cause since 2015. Nicolas regularly participates in marathons for charities and wanted to Brave the Shave to make a positive difference.
Nicolas said “People know I’m always doing things for charity, my friends and family, as well as my wonderful colleagues are so happy to help me raise money for good causes, this time it’s for Macmillan Cancer Support!”
Nicolas joined Elsyng House in October 2020 and although only a short time, he is already a loved member of the Oakland Care family.
On Braving the Shave Nicolas said, “I’m not worried about doing it, I hope people will still recognise me afterwards! It seems like a fun thing to do and the money raised will be used to help people.”
Client Relations Manager at Elsyng House, Julie Chanel said, “It doesn’t surprise me at all that Nicolas has decided to raise money for Macmillan, he is so caring and giving, he wants to help everybody in any way he can.
“We are working with lots of organisations across Enfield and with our new luxury care home opening in January, we want as many people as possible to be involved”.
