Beechwood Grove Care Home Spring Flower Festival Raises Funds for RNLI Eastbourne

Beechwood Grove Care Home in Eastbourne held its Spring Flower Festival over the weekend. The event was organised to raise funds for the RNLI Eastbourne, a charity that saves lives at sea.

Excitement was in the air as preparations for the flower festival were in full swing. The Lifestyles assistants were busy collecting flowers from various local suppliers, including Sainsbury’s Hampden Park, Waitrose Eastbourne, and Co-op Albert Parade and Shinewater. Meanwhile, the residents were busy doing sugar craft with Becci, making sure that all the lovely cakes had flowers on them.

The flower festival kicked off on the first day, and the bistro was filled with visitors. The judges from Ann’s Flowers were there to cast their eyes over everyone’s amazing creations. There were many beautiful displays, and it was tough for the judges to choose the winners. But in the end, Mary from Cedar, Margaret from Ash, and Jackie from Ash won the top three prizes.

The raffle tickets were also in demand, and the prizes were amazing, including a cake handcrafted by Melanie Wells. Kirsty, the Client Relations Manager, missed the memo and dressed up as her entry instead of submitting a display.

The festival continued on the second day, and the visitors still had time to enjoy the beautiful displays. The day ended with a raffle, and the winners were announced. The organizers promised to announce how much they raised for RNLI Eastbourne as soon as possible.

The Beechwood Grove Spring Flower Festival was a huge success, and everyone enjoyed the beautiful displays and the festive atmosphere. It was a great opportunity for the Care Home to support a worthy cause and raise awareness about the vital work done by the RNLI Eastbourne.
